It might make it more 'permanent' than paper clips or binder clips, but you could use 'ticky tack' (that blue puddy that kindergarten teachers love). It would hold the folded wall shape and connect the walls together as well.

Call it aesthetic snobbery, but I don't like seeing the clips.

For larger objects I've used larger (and thicker) pieces of railboard. I've also used extra rolls of paper & cut sheets to size (and folded the sides in half an extra time).
